An adoptable dog in New York, NY
One year old Pickles was rescued from a backyard breeder in New Jersey, along with her mom, Penny, and her littermates, Pookie and Pepper. Pickles is used to life in the country and is struggling a bit with the noises and day to day movements of the city. She is working with her foster mom on desensitization to city life, as well as basic obedience training. Pickles knows many commands, including sit, look, touch, and down. Because she is still quite young, she will need a forever family that can help her learn about housebreaking and enhance her beginning obedience training.
Pickle’s perfect forever home is one where she can cuddle all day every day, but she is also looking for someone who will throw her favorite squeaky toys so she can play fetch. She would do best in a home with a patient woman or couple and maybe another dog to help her learn that the city is not such a scary place! Because of her fear of the city and loud noises, we recommend Pickles go to an adult only home.
