"The 20th Anniversary Party was the best we've ever had," said Founder, John Contino. "It was incredible to see such a huge number of supporters all united for one cause. We're very fortunate to be able to celebrate this milestone and are excited about the momentum we're gaining as an organization."
The Mercedes Club played a vital role in the success of the event. By securing donations from Stecchino's Restaurant and Dyckman Beer Co, in addition to providing musical entertainment and an incredible amount of support, the luxury fitness and lifestyle club made it possible for Mighty Mutts to host an event at no cost to the small non-profit group. Additional donations from Magnolia Bakery and Clarelicious Cupcakes were also integral to the party.
"We couldn't have been more pleased with how the event turned out," said Executive Director, Michelle Marlowe. "But what is even more exciting is what is to come. We were able to raise awareness about our organization and how people can get involved through volunteering, donating, sponsoring, fostering and adopting. It's the dawn of a new era for Mighty Mutts!"
The funds raised at the celebration will help the organization to provide food, shelter and ongoing veterinary care for the rescued animals who come into the care of Mighty Mutts and Ollie's Place. To find out how to get involved with the organization, please visit www.mightymutts.org.
Mighty Mutts, Inc.
Founded in 1994 by John Contino, Mighty Mutts is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization sustained solely through donations. Mighty Mutts is an all-volunteer, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating the strays of New York City. Each day, thousands of stray dogs and cats are forced to live in our city’s streets and alleyways, crawling about these desolate areas for refuge. Alone, starving, and in desperate need of veterinary care, these poor creatures struggle day by day for their very lives. Mighty Mutts is driven to help change all of this.
